THE RIGHT TO WRITE

If I have the right to write

I will write about our compatriots

who obey the clarion’s call

to serve their nation with lips’ love,

stale strength and faint faith.

If I have the right to write

I will write about our frontiers

who make the labors of past heroes

as useless as futile.

Serving heartlessly with hearts.

If I have the right to write

I will write about our leaders

who are leading us to an utopian destination

sightlessly with sight and mightlessly with might

We are, but people blessed

heading for freedom, peace and unity

focused to have our right to write.
